WildFlower Turf

Coronet Turf has established a successful method of producing "Wild Flower Turf" using its unique soil-less turf production system.

The result is a top quality product that is easy to handle and lay. There is no wastage during laying as the rolls are strong enough to handle robustly without breaking up.

The roots of the turf bind together to form a thick mat, that acts as a weed blanket suppressing the development of weed seed inherent in the soil. Once installed the undamaged roots establish up to five times faster than conventional turf.

The resulting wildflower turf has a number of advantages:-

  • The provision of established plants that can compete with, and suppress weed seeds.
  • A 50:50 plant mix of wild flower varieties and grasses, planted at the correct densities to give optimum conditions for establishment.
  • Low maintenance requirement – only one cut per year.
  • Attracts insects and other invertebrate animals, birds and mammals.
  • Establishes a wildflower turf meadow within eight weeks of laying turf. (Subject to seasonal variations).
  • Changing colours throughout the year.
