Coronet's Wildflower turf is ideally
suited for green roofs.
Soil-less turf, so light weight compared to conventional turf and many other alternatives.
The soil levels needed on the roof are minimized and so keep the roof weight down. Because the plants thrive on a lack of fertility the roof environment suits them well, as this can be easily managed and there are a number of varieties within the mix that are drought tolerant, again minimizing maintenance. The diversity of plants in the turf encourage insect and animal life, adding to the ‘green’ nature of the roof and the interest to be gained from it. The development of the grasses and flowers in the mix and the strength with which they grow help to give excellent insulation properties both in hot or cold conditions.
