The soil-less production process developed by Wildflower Turf is ideal for the production of bespoke or grown to order turf. Please get in touch to discuss the production of any tailored seed mixes.

Examples of this are wide ranging and include: A seed mix from the West coast of Ireland that was harvested from plants near the Cliffs of Moher, shipped to our farm and grown as a turf before returning to the cliffs 12 weeks later.

A variety of different grass mixes:

Slow growing

Ornamental grasses.

New seed mixes, as made to order turf for seed companies.

A variety of Wild Flower mixes to suit:

Soil types

Salt tolerant mixes for close proximity to the sea (including thrift and sea pinks)

Plant height variation

Colour variation

Green roofs and sedum

Seed specifications adapted for The Environment Agency, English Nature, The           RHS, RSPB, site and project specific mixes designed by ecologists, et al.

It is also possible to incorporate various grades of nettings, materials or grids to enhance the strength of the turf for civil engineering purposes such as erosion control and soil stabilisation – for this custom made option, please ask for more information.

Bespoke or grown to order turf takes approximately 12 weeks to produce during our growing season and generally requires a minimum order of 400m². However we can grow small areas after discussions with the client.
